Q: What is the FFWPU-USA Internship Program? A: The FFWPU-USA Internship Program is a Program for young adult Unificationists that connects interns with various organizations in the Unification Movement. Q: What is the goal of the FFWPU-USA Internship Program? A: The goal of the Internship Program is to provide an environment for the spiritual growth of Young Adults and connect them to Unification-related businesses and organizations that will teach them a specific skill set over a given time period. It will enable Young Adults to inherit and take ownership over God's vision of one global family by exposing them to True Parents' diverse providential organizations and the core values upon which they operate. Q: How did the idea for the FFWPU-USA Internship Program come about? A: During a FFWPU-USA sponsored conference on Young Adult Ministry in the summer of 2006, participants in the conference recognized the need for alternatives to the Special Task Force. As a result of that conference, three different types of alternatives were suggested. Internship opportunities was one area targeted to expand young adult ministry. Q: What types of Internships are available through the Internship Program? A: One of the objectives of the Internship Program is to provide a broad spectrum of internship opportunities to young adult Unificationists. In this program, the word, "internship" is loosely defined to include any on-the-job experience that will foster the spiritual growth of the intern, while teaching a set of skills that the intern could use in later career opportunities. Therefore, examples of internships would include conference services at an International Leadership Conference hosted by UPF, staffing a week long MEPI, writing Sunday School curriculum at the FFWPU-USA Education Department, serving as a local pastor's assistant, traveling with a True World Foods salesperson, or building ships for Master Marine. FFWPU-USA wants there to be myriad opportunities for second generation young adults. Q: How do I know what internship opportunities are available? A: Click on the "internships" tab in the navigation bar. From there, a list of available internships will display on the screen. Click on the company name to read through the company's profile, or, click on the job title to get a specific job description. If the company is offering compensation for the internship, it will be listed on this page. Q: How do I post an internship opportunity on the Internship Program website? Once you click, "sign up" you will have to be approved by the Program Director.
